Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Melon (melonhq.ai) is a voice assistant that remembers your paperwork, makes calls for you and sends you reminders. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, mobile number, home ZIP code and time zone.
- Documents you send us, such as bills, insurance cards, appointment letters and registrations. These may include medical or financial information.
- Recordings and transcripts of your calls with Melon and the calls Melon makes for you.
- Things you tell Melon to help it serve you, such as preferences and who in your household handles what.
- Your consent choices, with the time and IP address you gave them.
We keep the original emails and files you send us, and recordings and transcripts of your calls, so Melon can look back at them later. We remove card numbers from transcripts and notes, and Melon never writes out full Social Security, driver's license or passport numbers. Your original files may still contain them, so they are kept in private storage that only Melon's servers can access.
How we use it
Only to provide and improve Melon: answering your questions, making the calls you request, calling you back, sending reminders and emails, and checking and improving call quality. Lessons Melon learns about how to call a company (for example, which phone menu option reaches billing) are kept without any customer's personal information.
Text messages
If you opt in, Melon texts you about your account, reminders and call results. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep your name, email and, if you give it, your mobile number, only to tell you when there's a spot in Melon. We text you only if you check the box asking us to, and you can reply STOP at any time. To be removed from the waitlist, email hello@melonhq.ai.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run Melon for us: Anthropic (AI), Vapi and Twilio (phone calls and texts), ElevenLabs (Melon's voice), Supabase (database and storage), Google Workspace and Postmark (email), Fly.io (hosting) and Slack (our internal team alerts). When Melon calls a company for you, it shares the details needed for that call. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information while you use Melon. To leave and delete your data, email hello@melonhq.ai or reply to any Melon email, and we will delete your account and everything we keep for you: emails, documents, recordings, transcripts and memories. You can also ask Melon on a call to forget something it remembered.
Security
Your data is stored in a private database and storage that only Melon's servers can access. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send card numbers.
Children
Melon is for adults 18 and older.
